It’s Me, Alexa!

This is my first blog post, EVER! I’ve always felt most comfortable and most like myself in my writing. It might not be the most elegant or very beautifully written but its me, in my truest form. So, this is me, in all my flaws, probably writing this with my messy bun (that my daughter loathes), with my iced double shot within reach and my crazy kiddos running around me, but hey, I’m here doing the damn thing, right? RIGHT!

First, I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I am a thirty-something year old Wife and Mom of two, who in my free time (HA!) loves listening to True Crime podcasts, going to Disney with the kids, and trying not to kill my house plants! My kids are Stella (5) and Ezra (2) and you will see them a lot throughout my posts. They are solely the reason I fell in love with photography, so its only fitting that when I’m not out shooting your sessions, that I am probably at home taking photos of them.

I started my photography business early this year and it has definitely been a whirl wind. I have already learned so much, I’ve made plenty mistakes, stressed over sessions, stayed up endless hours editing and have already had some of the best times making memories with people I'd never have met if it wasn't for taking the plunge and opening up my business to strangers. Sharing your art is terrifying. There will always be people who might not love you, and being okay with that, is the hardest battle. I’ve already learned that staying true to myself and MY art, will get me the furthest. If you’re here reading this, thank you for appreciating my art enough to be here, in this moment! Thank you!

So, if you love documenting moments. Big ones, little ones, moments we might find insignificant. You’re in the right spot. In this space, there is no insignificant moment. All the details matter, and I’m here to help capture them all. I hope you’ll stick with me!
